Coaching & lesson terms
How lessons work when you find a coach on FlashCourt, or through a venue site that uses FlashCourt — and who is responsible for what.
Last updated 26 October 2026
- Your lesson is an agreement between you and the coach.
- You pay the coach directly (GCash, Maya, bank or cash). FlashCourt and the venue don't hold or handle lesson money.
- Cancellations, no-shows and refunds follow the coach's own rules — agree on them before you pay.
- A court booking is separate: it's with the venue and follows the venue's booking policy.
1. What FlashCourt does
FlashCourt is a directory and booking tool. It helps you find coaches, see when they're free, send a lesson request and message the coach. FlashCourt is not the coach's employer or agent and is not a party to the lesson agreement between you and the coach.
2. Venues that list coaches
Some venues (for example, a tennis park using a FlashCourt-powered website) show their in-house coaches or link to coaches on FlashCourt. The venue provides the court. Unless the venue tells you otherwise in writing, the venue is not responsible for the lesson itself, the coach's fees, or a coach's cancellation or no-show.
3. Booking a lesson
- A request is not a confirmed lesson until the coach accepts it.
- The coach may accept, decline, or suggest another time or price.
- If the lesson needs a court, check who books and pays for the court — you or the coach.
4. Payment
- Pay only the coach, using the payment details shown on their FlashCourt page or that they send you in FlashCourt messages.
- Keep your receipt. If you upload it on FlashCourt, the coach confirms it there.
- Be careful of anyone asking you to pay a different account than the coach's. If something looks wrong, message us before paying.
5. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds
- Each coach sets their own policy. Ask about it before you pay — for example, how much notice is needed to cancel or move a lesson.
- If the coach cancels, you're entitled to whatever the coach's policy promises (usually a refund or a new time). Settle it with the coach directly.
- Weather, court closures and venue decisions are handled under the venue's own policies for the court booking.
6. Coaches' profiles and verification
"Verified", "Managed by the coach" and similar labels mean FlashCourt checked certain details (for example, that the coach controls the page, or that a venue vouches for them). They are not a guarantee of a coach's skill, qualifications, conduct or results. Reviews are players' own opinions.
7. Safety and juniors
- Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to arrange and agree to lessons.
- We expect coaches to teach minors in open, visible settings, with a parent's consent, and never to message children privately outside the parent's knowledge.
- Tennis is a physical sport. Play within your health and fitness, and tell your coach about any injury or condition.
8. If something goes wrong
- Talk to the coach first — most issues are fixed with a message.
- If it isn't resolved, contact FlashCourt with the details. We can review the coach's page, pause it, or remove it if our rules were broken.
- FlashCourt can't force a refund or settle money disputes between you and a coach, but we take reports seriously.
9. Responsibility
To the extent allowed by law, FlashCourt is not liable for losses, injuries or disputes arising from a lesson, a payment made to a coach, or a coach's or player's conduct. Nothing here limits any rights you have under Philippine consumer law.
10. For coaches
- Be clear about your rate, what's included, and your cancellation policy before a player pays — and honour bookings you accept.
- Use your own payment details, keep receipts, and handle your own taxes (including BIR registration and receipts where required).
- Only list credentials you actually hold, and photos you have the right to use. Get a parent's permission before posting a photo of a minor.
- Answer requests promptly. If you can't take a lesson, decline it so the player can book someone else.
- Player information (name, email, phone, bookings, lessons, notes) is shared with you only to run your lessons with that player. Keep it private and secure; don't share or sell it or use it for unrelated marketing; report any loss or leak to FlashCourt within 24 hours. You only see your own lessons and notes with a player — never other coaches' notes or their full Passport.
- You are responsible for your sessions: safety, supervision of juniors, the court and equipment you use, and any insurance you need. You agree to cover FlashCourt's reasonable losses from claims caused by your lessons or a breach of these terms.
11. Privacy
When you request a lesson, the coach sees your name, contact details, the time you asked for, your messages, and the lessons and notes between you and them — nothing from other coaches. Partner venues and FlashCourt share a coach's busy times so they aren't double-booked — never your name or payment. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
